Position Overview: As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production facilities, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead the implementation of TPM and Lean Manufacturing methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall production quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring production schedules are met and products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of TPM and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
- Conduct regular TPM and Lean Manufacturing training sessions for production staff to build knowledge and skills.
- Utilize Lean tools and techniques, such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping, to identify and eliminate waste, improve process flow, and enhance productivity.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the production team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of production staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to support their professional growth and development.
- Ensure that all production processes meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to monitor and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve any quality issues or non-conformances.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging and facilitating problem-solving and innovation among production staff.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing TPM and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of relevant software and tools, including ERP systems and Lean Manufacturing software.
