Job Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Central Audit, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the financial management and oversight, review, analysis, report development, and budget preparation/maintenance for the MGB Central Audit team. Working as part of a cross-functional team, this position utilizes a strong working knowledge of payer reimbursement methodologies to support departmental work. This position is also responsible for revenue analytics, preparation of Revenue Integrity dashboards, and calculating the financial impact of Revenue Integrity initiatives. Due to its service focus, this position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, the desire and ability to collaborate with others, superb analytic and organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance required
- 3-5 years of experience in a role within a large healthcare organization preferred
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Be a key business partner to the MGB RCO teams
- Works closely with operational leaders to develop, recommend, and establish strategies, plans, and processes to understand, identify, and quantify opportunities using benchmarks and other data.
- Produce periodic PowerPoint presentations for a broad audience that conveys financial results in a well-formatted, clear, and compelling manner.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and identify areas of improvement within the department and with corporate stakeholders.
- Liaise with other departments across MGB to ensure financial objectives are met
- Key contributor to developing presentation materials to lay out the context of issues under discussion, analytic findings, options, and recommendations, such that leadership is well-informed and able to make decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards that track the financial impact of Revenue Integrity initiatives.
- Prepare revenue analytics to identify fluctuations in revenue and collaborate with Revenue Integrity team members, clinical departments, and other key stakeholders to investigate variances.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and data analysis for team members as needed.
- Develop, maintain, and implement Central Audit policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Analyze EPIC work queue data and perform root cause analysis. Execute work plans to correct identified deficiencies.
- Model gross and net revenue impacts by running revenue reports and calculating impacts per our reimbursement contracts.
- Collects and analyzes financial information to evaluate department initiatives and improvement measures.
- Utilizes appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data and information using reporting tools (e.g. SQL Server Data Tools, Cubes, Slicer Dicer, Tableau, Harvest, Snowflake, iPORT, Strata, etc.) Model gross and net revenue impacts by running revenue reports and calculating impacts per our reimbursement contracts.
- Analyzes financial data, extracts, defines and interprets to determine past financial performance and/or project financial probability.
