Description:

The FP&A team at CME Group is centralized within the Finance division, but works across all levels of the Company to drive financial performance and maximize profitability. FP&A is one of the most visible teams within the organization.

Assist in the annual budget preparation and maintain a forecast for assigned divisions. Analyze and review monthly results against plan and prior trends. Provide analytical support for Accounting regulatory filings and Investor Relations presentations. Scrutinize existing policies for savings and efficiency opportunities. Analyze adhoc financial opportunities as requested.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Liaise with departments to develop budgets and forecasts
  • Review actual financial results against targets and suggest action items to improve metrics
  • Provide support to external financial reporting processes
  • Scrutinize business drivers for efficiency opportunities
  • Support adhoc analysis of financial projects
  • Build relationships across finance, and the business at large, through excellent customer service and responsiveness


Skills & Software Requirements
  • Strong Excel experience (or Google Sheets) including vlookups, pivot tables and what-if modeling
  • Basic knowledge of Accounting and ERP Financial systems, Workday experience a plus
  • Ability to summarize complex information into consumable reports for senior leadership


Experience
  • Internships in related field and/or financial services companies


Education
  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Finance or Accounting

The pay range for this role is $68,100-$113,500. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
