Position: Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics

Duties: People Development: Builds and leads a team to execute on business area or category objectives. Coaches team members and provides feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance. Conducts performance and career development conversations, if applicable. Maintains team motivation and engagement. Mentors less experienced associates and managers. Business Partnerships: Consults with senior leadership/ business partners (e.g., Sr. Directors/Directors) to understand goals/functional objectives, understand and identify key business issues and formulate ideas to mitigate current and future business challenges/issues; confirms functional research objectives and oversees development of tactical research plans. Manages the creation of and presents actionable recommendations to Sr. Directors/Directors to contribute to business results. Serves as a subject matter expert to the business on market insights. Project Scope: Owns multiple projects end-to-end for a business area, category or prototype. Manages risk associated with implementation. Model Development: Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for multiple projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Proof of Concept and Prototype: Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for multiple projects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Collaborates with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques. Data Collection and Analysis: Manages the development and application of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems, and support data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to analytics leadership based on data analysis. Supports more experienced team members with the development of data analysis strategies; participates in strategy development conversations. Collaboration: Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for multiple projects for a business area, category or prototype. Interacts on a daily basis and collaborates with external business partners and vendors. Additional duties: Manage sales analytics team and partner with sales team. Conduct comprehensive analysis of sales data, identify sales trends, and provide insights to the management to aid strategic decision making. Participate in development and implementation of data-driven sales strategies to improve sales performance and increase revenue. Assist in setting sales targets and identify opportunities for growth. Collect data on sales, customer engagement and market trends, and consolidate into actionable items, reports, and presentations. Deliver rich and deep insights about customers that inform company's overall business strategy. Identify the most profitable customer segments, identify opportunities to improve end to end experiences and improve company's overall value proposition to target segments. Supervises one (1) direct report (title: Manager Advanced Analytics) who provides assistance performing sales analytics. Supervisory responsibilities include: guiding, mentoring, and evaluating one (1) direct report's (title: Manager Advanced Analytics) performance. Provide clear direction on tasks and projects, ensure they have the necessary resources to complete their work, and provide constructive feedback to help them develop their skills and knowledge. Provide training and professional development, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Statistics, or related field plus 3 years of experience in data analytics or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with: SQL to develop customer analytics insights; Python to perform data analytics and data instrumentation; Tableau to develop dashboards and provide analytics insights; Developing ETL and stream lining the data pipeline; Data analytics to analyze raw data to make conclusions about that information; Data analytics to optimize business performance, perform more efficiently, maximize profit, or make more strategically-guided decisions; Data Modeling to design tables and databases and perform database management; Excel for data analytics and reporting; BigQuery for data analytics; PySpark for machine learning modeling; and Machine Learning to uncover business insights.
