Export Control and Sanctions professional, responsible for the management of NXP's Export Compliance program as it pertains to Global Export Compliance laws and regulations around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for export control activities around the world.
- Work with cross functional teams around the world to provide guidance and interpretation of country laws and regulations (Export Administration Regulations EAR, etc.).
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies as required (licensing agencies, customs agencies, etc.)
- Stay informed of laws and regulations changes relating to trade compliance and the impact to the NXP and its businesses world-wide compliance program.
- Implement global trade compliance training programs for all business functions.
- Continuously seek to improve the NXP's global trade compliance practices to share best practices and to attain core competence.
- Develop strategies, design, and implement trade compliance IT tools.
Job Level Specifications:
- Establish operating policies and procedures that impact the export compliance program.
- Interpret enterprise-wide export control and sanctions policies and procedures.
- Collaborates frequently with internal and/or external customers.
- Coordinate efforts between functional areas and/or members of an extended assignment/project team.
- Thorough understanding of technology tools, including trade compliance systems and ERP systems.
Work Experience:
- 8+ years including 3+ years of management experience in Export Control and Sanctions.
Education and Certification(s):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
