Therapeutic Endoscopist

The Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a 743-bed, major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, seeks to hire a Therapeutic Endoscopist with advanced fellowship training to join a 50-member academic faculty practice. Pending regulatory approvals, BIDMC, HMFP and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute will be undertaking a collaboration to build a free-standing new adult cancer hospital, the first of its kind in the Boston area. Special considerations will be given to applicants who will advance our endoscopic care of cancer patients, with a particular focus on ESD techniques, third-space endoscopy, and pancreaticobiliary endoscopy. In addition to contributing to a very busy referral practice at the BIDMC Center for Advanced Endoscopy, with regional, national, and international referrals, supervision of GI fellows and student/resident research supervision will be required. An academic teaching appointment at Harvard Medical School (HMS) will be commensurate with experience.
