Launch Vehicles is seeking an experienced candidate to serve as a Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) Systems Engineer, located in Chandler, AZ.
The GMD Systems Engineer is a key part of our Systems Integration and Test (SEIT) team and will assist in supporting the GMD Booster efforts for the Systems Engineering group, including one or more of the following activities (and others not included in this list):

Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

The GMD Systems Engineer is a key part of our Systems Integration and Test (SEIT) team and will assist in supporting the GMD Booster efforts for the Systems Engineering group, including one or more of the following activities (and others not included in this list):
- Ensure that the Systems Engineering effort on the GMD Booster Program complies with all internal standards and guidelines.
- Function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Regular interface with program management, engineering staff and external customers is expected.
- Requirements capture, definition, flow down, and derivation of lower-level requirements.
- Verification activities (planning and final capture) and using a requirements-based testing approach.
- System integration including hardware/software design implementation and testing.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Engineering degree plus 2 years of related experience; Masters degree plus 0 years of experience.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret level security clearance is required.
- Work onsite at the Chandler, AZ facility 100%.
- Possess a strong resolve to drive tasks to completion autonomously and possess demonstrated mentoring/training skills.
- Experience with requirement tracing/verification from customer requirements through sub-component requirements.
- Clear, concise communicator.
- Ability to self-prioritize tasking.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong experienced-based and academic foundation in Systems Engineering fundamentals is desired.
- The candidate should possess strong technical problem solving, written and verbal communication skills to generate and document system level launch vehicle requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments and participate in system level verification/data review activities.
- Experience with Northrop Grumman Launch Vehicle Systems Engineering standards/guidelines and expectations is desired.
- Excellent customer and program interaction in both one on one and meeting settings.
- Experience with DOORS.
- Experience with System testing.
- Experience with Agile development environments.
- Experience with JIRA.
- Experience with Tableau.
