Primary Purpose

The Director, HR Technology works collaboratively within and across organizational structures to understand business requirements, meet strategic HR goals and identify opportunities and improvement while operating in the best interests of the entire user community. This position is responsible for directing the activities of HR Technology to drive solutions that align to our HR Strategy while creating an environment that promotes innovation and a commitment to excellence. Additionally, this senior role will ensure HR service delivery capabilities are effectively and efficiently leveraged for customers. The Director of HR Technology is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and management of HR technology solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Human Resources function. This role involves collaborating with HR leaders, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure that HR technology aligns with the company's goals and supports a positive employee experience.

Primary Duties

  • Lead the HR Technology team that provides enhancements and maintenance of our HR Technology Portfolio. Partner with the various HR teams to drive technology solutions that align to the strategic priorities while implementing process improvements. Develop key measurements in support of commitment to excellence including customer satisfaction.
  • Represent Exelon HR's technology interests and strategies with partner support functions including IT, Finance and Supply, as well as external vendors and communities. Lead HR's technology funding in collaboration with IT. Lead alignment between IT, HR Technology and broader HR to drive optimization of HR solutions for the HR community.
  • Direct day-to-day operations for the HR Technology group, where work is driven by the customer's needs and fundamental requirements (e.g. cloud patching on regular cycles). Create an environment of open, honest dialogue; embrace feedback and varied perspectives; develop and nurture trusting partner relationships; and deliver on commitments.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive HR technology strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Technology Implementation: Lead the selection, implementation, and maintenance of HR technology systems, including HRIS, ATS, LMS, and other HR-related software.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through technology and automation, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Data Management: Ensure the integrity, security, and privacy of HR data. Oversee data analytics and reporting to support decision-making.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with HR technology vendors, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and alignment of HR technology with business needs.
  • Compliance: Ensure HR technology solutions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the HR technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing ROI.

Job Scope

  • Lead technology team such that there is a defined mechanism for receiving and delivering services, and for measuring customer satisfaction and SLA levels.
  • Initiate and direct technology-related process improvement initiatives that span across all HR.
  • Responsible for 3-5 direct reports and 12 - 20 indirect reports; management of up to an equal number of contractors.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with Corporate/OpCo HR and Leadership to ensure HR Services and
  • Technology teams are performing services as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR technology or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, LMS, and other HR technology systems. Strong understanding of data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a team. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think strategically and drive innovative solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Information Systems background with systems development life cycle experience
  • Shared Service, HR, or Payroll functional background
  • Master's degree in relevant field (e.g. Information Systems)
  • Experience with Saas / Cloud applications, including implementation and on-going maintenance and vendor management

  • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $169,600.00/Yr. - $233,200.00/Yr. plus an additional $50K in Long Term Incentive Plan annually
