As a leader in muscle biology and the mechanics of muscle performance, the company is developing small molecule drug candidates specifically engineered to impact myocardial muscle function and contractility.

We are seeking a strategic, tech-savvy, and solutions-oriented Associate Director, Sales Systems and Operations to lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of Customer Facing Teams systems ie: Veeva Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, Master Data Management (MDM), and field reporting capabilities. This leader will play a critical role in bridging the needs of our customer-facing field teams and headquarters by ensuring systems are intuitive, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.

This role will collaborate with the IT team responsible for platform and reporting development, and serve as the key liaison between field sales, field access, field medical, HQ medical, KOL engagement, and marketing teams. The ideal candidate has deep operations expertise, intermediate or higher proficiency in Veeva CRM, and thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic direction and continuous improvement of Veeva CRM, MDM systems, and reporting tools to drive operational excellence and field effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders-including Field Sales, Field Access, Field Medical, KOL Engagement, HQ Medical, and Marketing-to understand evolving business needs and translate them into system and reporting solutions.
Work directly with both field teams and senior leadership to understand sales and marketing strategies and translate them into impactful, well-visualized reports and dashboards.
Collaborate with a partner IT team in the development and ongoing operation of reporting platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
Drive the creation of intuitive, actionable dashboards using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to support field execution and inform strategic decisions.
Maintain a user-first mindset, simplifying processes and interfaces to enable field team efficiency while ensuring data integrity and access to actionable insights for HQ.
Design and deliver training programs for field users and HQ stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective use of tools and data.
Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
Present operational insights, system updates, and strategic recommendations to senior executives.
Identify opportunities to automate processes and reduce administrative burden across field operations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to data and system use.

Train field team on utilization of relevant systems for effective and compliant customer interactions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Life Sciences, Information Systems, or related field (Master's is a plus).
Minimum of 7 years in operations, commercial or field roles, with increasing responsibility and direct experience supporting field commercial functions.
Intermediate or higher-level expertise with Veeva CRM; experience with MDM and reporting tools strongly preferred.
Strong experience working with senior commercial leaders to understand strategy and translate needs into systems and data visualizations.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead cross-functional teams and vendor/IT partnerships, particularly in reporting and dashboard development.
Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau or Power BI is a strong plus.
Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to senior leadership in a clear and compelling manner.
Strong project management skills with a focus on timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment.
Passion for creating seamless, simplified tools that empower field teams and drive measurable impact.

Pay Range:

In the U.S., the hiring pay range for fully qualified candidates is $189,000 - $231,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
