HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Wayside Case & House Wiring Manufacturing Managerwho thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Batesburg, SC.

Job Description:
HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Wayside Case & House Wiring Manufacturing Managerwho thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Batesburg, SC.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the Wires and Cables' business unit's operations, capacity planning, resources and management.
- Support business unit growth while continuing to build the skill sets and lead a strong team of people with cross-functional responsibilities, including training matrix.
- Coordination of Manufacturing/Production efficiency.
- Manages and monitors quality of work
- Manage production scheduling, resource planning and development, and total manufacturing cost.
- Work with Director of Manufacturing Operations on establishing an annual manufacturing budget.
- Responsible for aspects of the business unit's operational performance results including the achievement of Safety target, Defective Parts, On Time Delivery, and other KPI's.
- Coach team members and continue to support the company Core Values while developing a strong culture.
- Provide support for key customer accounts including developing relationships with some customer representatives, Project Manager, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Design teams and resolving customer issues.
- Serve as a member of the Business Unit's Leadership Team and play a key role in the achievement of the Company's Vision and Strategy within the business unit.
- Collaborate with other Functional teams in the establishment of procedures as required by the appropriate standards and customer requirements, in ensuring our continuing compliance.
- Manage the Health and Safety and Environmental functions to drive best practices within the Business Unit.
- Support other areas of the company with respect to joint initiatives
Required Skills/Experience:
- At least 5 years' experience managing direct report employees
- Strong technical acumen, communication and problem-solving skills
- Minimum 5 years electro-mechanical manufacturing experience.
- Experience with operating and capital budgeting oversite and tracking.
- Understanding of Lean, continuous improvement, quality and related topics with relevant work experience
- Proficiency of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning software
- +3 years of project management experience
- Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience working in Power BI or other similar data visualization platforms
Knowledge of Rail Control Systems
Education:
