Red River's Government Technology Services (GTS) business is seeking a Solutions Architect, Director to lead the development and execution of our technology strategy across defense, intelligence, and federal civilian agencies. This critical role drives innovation and aligns GTS services to customer needs, delivers cutting-edge, secure solutions tailored to the evolving needs of federal clients-including the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), Veterans Affairs (VA), and the Department of the Treasury - Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The Director will lead technical solutioning for major opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, BOEs, and white papers, and collaborate with corporate technology leaders to influence investment strategy and operational excellence. This role blends strategic business acumen with advanced architectural and engineering expertise to accelerate growth, foster innovation, and elevate Red River's impact across the federal landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead solution architect for complex federal IT bids and proposals, collaborating with capture and proposal managers to develop compelling, compliant responses.
  • Work with Business Development to engage federal customers and partners to understand mission challenges and deliver tailored, scalable solutions across domains such as cloud, cyber, data, AI/ML, and end-user services.
  • Partner with Red River's corporate practice areas to drive innovation and inform enterprise investment priorities.
  • Participate in all phases of capture strategy-gate reviews, solution planning, cost estimation, and proposal color team reviews.
  • Oversee technical solutioning for white papers, concept development, and future capability roadmaps.
  • Support program startup, transition, and major technical reviews on high-visibility initiatives.
  • Champion a culture of innovation by promoting emerging technologies and continuous improvement across GTS.
  • Represent GTS at customer engagements, industry events, and technical forums to showcase technical leadership and market presence.
  • Maintain deep familiarity with federal compliance frameworks including NIST RMF, FedRAMP, and agency-specific cybersecurity standards.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of solution architects, engineers, and technical SMEs in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
  • Integrate systems engineering principles and methodologies into solution development, including requirements decomposition, traceability, modeling (MBSE), and risk management.


Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, with a track record of success delivering IT solutions for defense, intelligence, and/or federal civilian agencies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital modernization-including cloud, cyber, networking, data platforms, AI/ML, and end-user services.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting and engineering complex systems in compliance with federal regulations, acquisition models, and lifecycle framework (e.g. TOGAF, DODAF, JCIDS, etc).
  • Extensive experience supporting capture and proposal efforts for RFPs, RFIs, BOEs, and white papers.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition processes, including DoD/IC/FedCiv procurement cycles, FAR-based contracting, and solution compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary solutioning teams to deliver secure, innovative, and scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior executives and government stakeholders.
  • Active Secret clearance


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Active TS/SCI (or eligible) clearance required.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
  • Enterprise Architecture: TOGAF, FEAC CEA, Zachman
  • Systems Engineering: INCOSE CSEP or ESEP
  • Cybersecurity & Cloud: CISSP, AWS/Microsoft/Azure Architect
  • Project & Agile Delivery: PMP, SAFe, ITIL
