The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

As the Manager, Facilities, Engineering, you will be responsible for coaching, guiding, and facilitating the development of a workgroup to develop collaborative relationships among their peers, customers, suppliers, and other functional groups to ensure goals are achieved. You will create and maintain an organizational climate/culture which encourages innovation, collaboration, excitement/commitment, and a sense of urgency towards business success. You will continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, mentor, and coach your immediate work group, and deepen your professional network.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead the Menominee, MI Maintenance team comprised of three 3-4 skilled tradesmen.
  • Focus on providing maintenance support for operations, facility, grounds, janitorial, and mobile handling equipment in the most safe, efficient manner.
  • Lead team in development and execution of technical solutions to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) issues.
  • Collaboration with internal partners to develop and maintain acceptance response and repair times, technical solutions, and OEE to support warehouse operations.
  • Provide leadership to deliver on accountable Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD) transformation initiatives.
  • Provide direction, focus, motivation, encouragement, and performance assessment for the team.
  • Manage period departmental expenses and related contractor expense to the annual business plan.
  • Stay abreast of advanced Maintenance Management and related strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.


What You Have (Basic Qualifications):
  • Budgeting: Knowledge of organization's budget process; ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.
  • Effectiveness Measurement: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Manufacturing Application Systems: Knowledge of company and industry databases and applications used in a manufacturing environment; ability to operate, maintain and update these systems.
  • Manufacturing Equipment: Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.
  • Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
  • Plant Facilities Management: Knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage plant facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, or previous experience in a Project Management related role.
  • Previous experience with Maintenance/Facilities Management.
  • Previous continuous improvement and/or Lean 6 Sigma experience.
  • Previous experience with SAP CMMS or other computerized maintenance management system.

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
