Description:

Ibotta is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. This person will manage the cash collections, credit and cash application processes, procedures and day-to-day activities for the collections and cash application team. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Billing Program Management.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office, (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:
  • Identify and lead opportunities to enhance, improve, implement, and document monthly procedures to increase accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of cash collections processes
  • Pursue collections on delinquent accounts and determine when to engage billing, sales and / or legal support
  • Responsible for drafting client payment plans, engaging external 3rd party collection agency and initiating write-offs
  • Assist the Billing Director and Senior Managers in monitoring the AR aging, collection efforts and calculation of bad debt allowance
  • Assist the Billing Director and Senior Managers in month-end responsibilities including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting as needed
  • Assist in designing, compiling, analyzing, and providing monthly analytics for reporting to leadership and making strategic decisions
  • Monitor new clients to ensure their delinquency risk is acceptable
  • Ensure timely application of cash and reimbursement of overpaid amounts
  • Establish and maintain positive interactions with internal departments and external clients
  • Prepare and/or review documentation for annual audit requests as needed
  • Perform special projects upon request from all levels of management
  • Manage and develop a team of 3+ growing employees responsible for cash application, credit and collections

What we are looking for:
  • 6+ years of overall operational experience; cash collections experience required, cash application & credit experience highly preferred
  • Technical Skills: NetSuite, G Suite, Excel, SalesForce
  • Excellent analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively lead and influence staff across all levels, functions and external constituencies
  • Proven ability to drive process improvement and critical thinking

Additional Details:
  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, profit sharing and equity. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals.
  • Base compensation range: $79,000 - $89,000. Equity is included in the overall compensation package. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
