Key Responsibilities
1. Mainframe Security RACF Administration & Security Hardening
- Administer and maintain RACF security settings, ensuring optimal security configurations.
- Implement security hardening measures to protect mainframe systems against vulnerabilities and threats.
- Regularly review and update RACF policies and procedures to align with evolving security standards.
2. Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Manage multi-factor authentication (MFA) implementations and password policies for RACF.
- Collaborate with IAM teams to integrate RACF with IAM solutions, ensuring seamless user access and security.
3. Audit & Compliance
- Utilize the Vanguard Security Suite for comprehensive reporting and risk analysis.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Prepare and present audit findings to stakeholders, recommending improvements where necessary.
4. Project Leadership
- Lead security hardening and IAM projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement security initiatives effectively.
5. Communication & Vendor Management
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication regarding security initiatives and compliance requirements.
- Oversee service providers, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and security standards.
Qualifications
Certifications:
- Required: One or more of the following certifications:
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control)
RACF-specific security certifications
Experience:
- Proven experience in integrating mainframe security with IAM solutions such as SailPoint, Okta, or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Background in government or transportation IT security is a significant plus.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality.
