The Territory Sales Director leads a team of Territory Sales Managers while maintaining connectivity to customer experience and provider network. Thru partnership with our Regional/District leaders this role ensures effective support, engagement, and comprehension of the Lowe's in-home selling strategy.
This role will report directly to the Territory Sales Sr. Director and will be responsible for communicating performance trends, action plans and customer experience opportunities, as well as market and industry trends to the Sr. Director.
As a resilient leader in IHC, this role will Coach and motivate the teams to instill a strong and sustainable selling culture, and achieve profitable sales margin.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for driving store and field execution of Lowe's In-Home Selling Strategy to exceed sales and profit targets with the Territories assigned.
Analyzes trends in data around the business and people/productivity performance to make changes that will positively impact business result.
Leads structured sales training for new and existing sales team members from their area of responsibility and from other departments in the company. Leverages Store Support Center resources to support training as needed.
Actively inspects sales activity and effort among sales associates managed, ensuring that the quality and quantity of sales effort meet company expectations.
Identifies deficiencies in skills among sales associates managed and works to improve individuals' capabilities through coaching, development, and training.
Recruits, hires and develops associates, utilizing company human resources guidelines and support resources.
Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer requirements and satisfaction by engaging key customer accounts in conjunction with sales personnel managed.
Holds Territory Sales Managers (TSM) accountable to roles and responsibilities.
Monitor service provider performance and support for their territories. Partner with Field Provider Managers/Services Merchants to course correct if necessary.
40 to 50 percent travel
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree - Related Business Field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5-7 years experience leading sales professionals to deliver business results
Must reside in the Mountain West area
Open to travel 40 to 50 percent
Preferences:
Positively impacts the performance of sales team members by implementing and managing field support tools, including training programs, productivity initiatives, account and territory planning methodologies, and customer communication tools.
1-2 years experience incorporating e-commerce into sales strategy; experience identifying and building plans in response to emerging consumer trends; experience working in home improvement retail; business-to-business
