Position Summary
1. Minimize emissions of water pollutants by appropriately managing water pollutants and maintain and operate treatment facilities appropriately.
2. Establish operating standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of facilities and prevent environmental accidents by running stable water treatment facilities.
Role and Responsibilities
1. [Legal compliance] Manage matters related to the status and content of already acquired licenses/permits (discharge amount of wastewater, concentration of major pollutants, treatment capacity, area classification, etc.) and water quality licensing when changes occur to a wastewater discharge facility.
2. [Origin of occurrence/drainage management] Manage the origin of occurrence by recognizing the origin of sewage & wastewater and identifying the ingredient status of influent water. Inspect treatment paths (wastewater/sewage/rainwater) of various types of water generated from facilities and structures.
3. [Main factor management] Determine the main factors (pH, ORP, DO, etc.) for water treatment methods and factor adjustment caused by changes in influent water.
4. [Facility operation management] Oversee management status (inspection cycle, quantity, etc.) of major facilities (pumps, sensors, etc.) and implement facility maintenance/predictive maintenance and process improvement for optimum operation.
Skills and Qualifications
May lead a small team of professionals with limited control over budget spending or HR management such as recruiting or dismissal and supervises mentoring and coaching for team members
Typically implements short-term action plans rather than developing policy, process or strategy
Enhances or Improves methods or procedures and provides coaching to team members to ensure successful outcome
Has deep knowledge on one job area or broad knowledge on several job areas
Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years
