The Manager, AI/ML will direct a team of data engineers and data scientists to develop and implement sophisticated AI and machine learning solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of data architecture, machine learning algorithms, and AI technologies. Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a multi-functional team of data engineers and data scientists to design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning models.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify business needs and define the scope and objectives of AI/ML initiatives.
  • Oversee the development of data pipelines and architectures to ensure efficient data collection, storage, and processing for AI/ML applications.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of AI/ML models, providing actionable insights for improvements and optimizations.
  • Drive the adoption of standard methodologies in AI/ML development, including model validation, testing, and documentation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in AI/ML technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and teamwork within the AI/ML team.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, algorithms, and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in AI/ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn).
  • Experience in data engineering practices, including data modeling, ETL processes, and database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of leading multiple projects and teams optimally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and social skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and customers.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deploying AI/ML solutions.
  • Validated experience in leading high-performing teams, fostering partnership, and driving performance in an AI/ML environment.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field

    Base Pay Range: $155,300 - $280,100

    Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
