OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS

Starting Salary: $87,516.00
This position is open to current AFSCME BIDDERS AND the PUBLIC. Only current City employees covered under the City's Collective Bargaining Agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4, & 5 are considered BIDDERS and are eligible to bid. Qualified BIDDERS who properly submit a bid application will receive preference over any non-bidders.

Under general supervision, the class provides professional therapeutic treatment services in a supervisory and administrative capacity, and performs related duties as required .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Hours/Shift : One (1) Clinical Therapist III will be on the 10:00 am to 6:00 pm shift AND one (1) Clinical Therapist III will be on the 6:00 pm to 2:00 am shift to ensure that all 911 shifts are exposed; May be On Call
* Will be required to work weekends and/or holidays, as needed. Will be required to respond to critical emergencies and traumatic incidents.
THIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICE.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work, plus three (3) years of professional mental health experience; or a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling, Vocational Rehabilitation, Pastoral Counseling, Art Therapy, or Educational Psychology, plus one year post-master's supervised practicum carried out in a mental health setting, as well as three (3) additional years of professional mental health experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, provided that the minimum degree requirement is met.
NOTE : You must provide your transcripts or diploma at time of processing.
Licensure, Certification, or Other Qualifications
Some positions may require individuals to be Licensed Practitioners of the Healing Arts (LPHA) requiring possession of any one or more of the following clinical licenses: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and/or Licensed Professional Psychologist (LCP). Some positions may require individuals to be Licensed Practitioners of the Healing Arts (LPHA) requiring possession of any one or more of the following clinical licenses: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and/or Licensed Professional Psychologist (LCP).
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
This position requires applicants to successfully complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Manages short- and long-term caseloads of enrolled OEMC 911 employees
- Conducts clinical assessment services
- May be on call or required to come in to assess and assist with crisis off hours
- Identifies signs of emotional and psychological trauma and help manage stress and mental health strains that may occur after a critical incident
- Works with supervisory staff to make determinations of need for clinical support for 911 employees
- Provides outreach and follow-up to support 911 employees
- Provides referrals, linkages, and wellness tools with outside agencies to obtain additional services needed by 911 employees
- Speaks at rollcalls and conducts training sessions on various topics pertaining to emotional and behavioral wellness
- Completes appropriate case notes documentation and disposition of cases
