We are seeking an experienced business development lead to drive Zappos FBA Strategy and brand recruitment for top brands and our most critical growth initiatives.
This leader must have proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task and a proven record of driving category growth. This individual must be an effective driver and communicator in working with some of Zappos/Amazon.com most important future vendors as well as with internal colleagues and cross-functional leaders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment.
As a customer-obsessed fashion enthusiast, you will influence and build relationships with top brands to drive revenue, increase selection, and influence the Shoes selection strategy. You are deep on retail trends and understand how retail fits into the online ecosystem. You are an excellent oral and written communicator and you possess an analytical approach to business development, leveraging data to drive decisions. You are highly organized and have the ability to work closely and constructively cross-functional teams. You're particularly adept at developing strong, one-to-one relationships and possess a track record of successful negotiation.
The Senior Biz Dev Manager will interface directly with brands to build relationships and business opportunities. Within this role, the individual will set a strategy, establish and maintain strong brand/vendor relationships, and manage a P&L. In addition, this position is expected to provide leadership across categories - driving systems, process, and customer experience improvements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
- Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
