The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst supports the financial reporting process by focusing on the preparation and analysis of internal and external financial reporting including Form 10-Q/K, earnings releases, and supplemental reports, as well as internal reporting packages and investor presentations. This position handles preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports, supporting schedules and fluctuation analysis as well as the administration and accounting of the company's share-based compensation program, dividends and other equity transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares quarterly and annual SEC financial reports including earnings releases, supplemental information packages, Form 10-K, Form10-Q and Form 8-K. Prepares supporting schedules, work papers and documentation for quarterly financial statements and the annual Proxy Statement and performs operational analysis such as fluctuation analysis including earnings per share and fair value measurements.
  • Coordinates with HR, Payroll, Finance and Accounting for the administration and accounting of the company's share-based compensation program, dividends and other equity transactions.
  • Responsible for preparing monthly financials and oversees the distribution of internal monthly reporting packages to management and executives.
  • Researches new SEC, accounting and industry developments.
  • Assists internal and external audit stakeholders with resolving audit inquiries and requests as well as compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Handles ad-hoc finance requests from management and executives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required
  • Minimum two (2) years of public accounting experience or related experience required
  • Minimum two (2) years of Big 4 experience is highly preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License preferred
  • Real estate industry/REIT experience preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; must be proficient with advanced functions
  • Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager and Workiva preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, planning and analysis skills
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement
  • Must be able to meet multiple deadlines
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to implement process improvement changes
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to pay close attention to details

In the states of Colorado, California, Washington, and Illinois; the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $89,739 - $112,204. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in medical, dental and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts and/or health savings accounts; dependent savings accounts; 401(k) with company matching contributions; employee stock purchase plan; and a tuition reimbursement program. The Company provides 9 paid holidays per year, and, upon hire, new employees will accrue paid time off (PTO) at a rate of 0.0577 hours of PTO per hour worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours per year.
