Leader of Finance & Admin team which includes Controller, Accountant, HR Coordinator, Payroll & Benefits Administrator, A/R Administrator & A/P Administrator.

About the Role:

Leader of Finance & Admin team which includes Controller, Accountant, HR Coordinator, Payroll & Benefits Administrator, A/R Administrator & A/P Administrator.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversees accounting team personnel and functions in the day-to-day financial activities of the company and preparation of internal financial statements.
- Provide strategic financial leadership and support for the evaluation of capital expenditures (CAPEX) and Fixed assets oversight, contracts, forecasts budgets, strategic plans, and other financials affecting business operations.
- Prepares operating budgets and management reports, evaluates and prioritizes the financial impact of the actions being considered.
- Ensures that effective operational systems are established and maintained.
- Works in conjunction with auditors in the preparation of audited financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws, including collections, payments and reporting requirements.
- Ensure the motivation and team building, performance management, career development, and succession planning for department employees.
- Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Accounting period closings including generation of financial statements & reports
- Monthly Financial forecasting and annual budgeting
- Internal Controls and Audit compliance with both internal & external auditors
- Financial analysis and reporting, both locally & to Corporate
- Contracts and Agreements as well as financial review and analysis of proposals and options
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong financial analysis capabilities including cash flow modeling and analysis
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Ability to translate business objectives into actionable, measurable initiatives
- Must demonstrate the ability to use a computer to communicate and analyze data. This includes but is not limited to the use of Outlook, MS Office programs, financial software and other web-based programs.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills is required
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with other personnel
- The ability to lead effective teams and develop direct reports
- Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to deal with ambiguity and facilitate change.
- Business acumen in manufacturing, distribution and/or construction operations.
Education/Experience:
- Education Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA, CMA and/or MBA preferred
- Experience Requirements - Demonstrated experience leading the finance functions of an organization
- Manufacturing and/or Building Materials Industry experience helpful & preferred
- 5-10 years of relevant financial management experience
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field
