The Psychologist plans and implements all professional psychological service programs of a non-medical nature.
They coordinate and direct the activities of personnel providing psychological services.

As part of a mental health team, they confer with other clinical staff to gather and provide information concerning patient psychological problems.
This ensures treatment activities are well integrated and patient care follow-through occurs.
The Psychologist develops, implements, and modifies individual treatment plans based on the evaluation of needs and levels of functioning.
They make regular rounds in segregation or confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs.

They consult with various staff to gather information regarding the escalation of problem behaviors and changes in mental health conditions.
