Description:
Reports To: Director of Engineering
Openings for experienced Civil Engineers with P.E. and BS/MS (preferred) with minimum of 8 + years of design and construction experience. Duties and requirements of the position include:
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate work with staff, clients, contractors and other in-house design disciplines.
Familiar with building codes, manuals, specifications, standards, testing procedures, and construction materials.
Responsible for designing roads, grading plans, stormwater drainage and detention plans, underground utilities, ground control and assortment of plans needed for permitting and meeting regulatory requirements.
Conducting site inspections and feasibility assessments.
Preparing engineering plans, project plans, calculations, design specifications and details using design software.
CAPEX for project civil works.
Completing and submitting permit applications to appropriate agencies and ensuring projects are compliant throughout the design and construction stages.
Analyzing survey reports, maps, and survey data to design new projects and to incorporate new designs into existing facilities.
Overseeing geotechnical testing and establishment of project geotechnical design criteria for project roads, foundations and other civil works.
Reviewing environmental regulations and specific site environmental challenges to ensure regulatory compliance and safety for projects.
Experience designing with AutoCAD, NavisWorks, Revit, Civil3D.
Responsible for preparing reports, budgets and schedules.
Require travel within the US and occasionally overseas to clients and facilities.
