UC Health is hiring a full time Sr. Pr/Marketing Consultant

The Senior Consultant of Media Relations collaborates closely with the Director of Media Relations to advance and manage the reputation of UC Health. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets, actively pitching media stories, preparing for and managing emergency situations, and establishing effective media relations processes and protocols. This role also serves as a public information officer and spokesperson for the health system.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes marketing and communications plans and budgets that support overall strategic and business development plans.
  • Skillfully manages multiple campaigns, projects and events while adhering to tight schedules.
  • Builds relationships with key constituents as the point of contact for Marketing & Communications.
  • Provides strategic marketing and communications counsel to UC Health leadership for specific service lines and clinical areas.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to junior staff members or interns.
  • Coordinates with internal and external resources (printers, mail rooms, IT, etc.) to ensure that projects are delivered on time and without error.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or relevant field, minimum required.
  • M.A., M.S., or M.B.A, preferred.
  • Six to ten years equivalent experience, minimum required.
  • Eleven to fifteen years equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Required Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of Microsoft office programs, excellent writing skills, knowledge of marketing planning and familiarity with Associated Press Style. Comfortable with social media and Web communications.
