This Position is Hybrid.

Requirements:
8 years of experience as a training instructor or in a related field.
8 years of experience in training methods and technologies.
8 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional design.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in Education or related field.
Experience with instructional design and training materials for Information Technology applications or systems.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Excellent written communication abilities.

Summary:
The Technical Training role is responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. This role involves writing literature and materials for training programs and designing exercises to enhance lectures. The specialist will deliver on-site and web-based training courses covering various software solutions and lead the development of infrastructure for information delivery. Additionally, the specialist will participate in writing and maintaining training material and supplementary technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement training programs, including web-based and instructor-led courses, job aids, videos, etc.
Create instructor materials such as course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids for different COTS products and current IT-driven in-house solutions.
Format training materials created by other staff as requested.
Determine customer needs and develop plans to meet those needs.
Assist in designing computer-based and multimedia curricula.
Plan, direct, and undertake classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences, and workshops.
Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System.
Help staff with productivity reporting both within and outside the agency.
Research and recommend vendors and costs for various training methods, including training classes from outside vendors, books, ready-made training guides, and computer or web-based training.
Stay current with developments in the computer training field, especially alternative media/methods for instruction.
Organize and draft curricula that break complex subjects into blocks or units of instruction, create graphics, and integrate them into the curriculum.
Teach short technical courses in accordance with approved curricula to maintain proficiency and evaluate and develop new instructional techniques/courses.
Incorporate new curricula in the teaching process, develop classroom techniques that reflect professionalism and good discipline, and enhance teaching.
Develop alternative teaching techniques and scenarios to maintain high motivation and interest in the subject areas.
Conduct test analysis and develop or revise test items.

Additional Responsibilities:
Work with a team of Training Specialists in technical and system curriculum delivery, revision, and maintenance.
Gather, analyze, translate, and compose technical information into clear, readable materials for technical and non-technical personnel.
Collect data and analyze audiences and training needs based on new business processes and policies, and apply these into successful training delivery.
Teach technical courses in accordance with approved curricula to maintain proficiency and evaluate and develop new instructional techniques/courses.
Understand protocols for communicating with customers requiring special assistance to obtain required or requested information.

Special Considerations:
These positions are part of the Administrative Applications Grants Management System team and will develop, implement, and provide role and scenario-based training materials for end users, external users, and administrators of the enterprise Grants Management System (GMS) in Salesforce.
Create both written and recorded webinar training materials for agency and external users.
Provide in-person training to system users based on the needs of the agency.
