Job Description:

We are seeking a BI Engineer to develop our company's reporting and analytics solutions. This role requires a blend of technical and functional expertise to ensure accuracy in reporting and ownership of our business-facing data team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data models, including relational and dimensional models.
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Write custom SQL queries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business users regarding reporting and data inquiries.
• Design ETL processes and optimize data models for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to improve data processes.
• Troubleshoot and performance tune data storage.
• Monitor and maintain the performance and availability of reports and analytics solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency.
• Provide technical documentation for processes, tools, and workflows.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or data science.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with non-technical stakeholders.
• Expert knowledge of reporting/data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau).
• Proficiency in SQL or Python.
• Strong data modeling experience and ETL background.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Understanding of machine learning and AI concepts and their applications to BI.
• Business acumen and strong functional understanding.
• Problem-solving skills.
