Job Description
The Senior Manager, Commercial Insights is responsible for providing market and customer insights to help drive key strategic and tactical decisions across Sobi.
As a member of the Insights & Analytics team, this individual will be an integral strategic thought partner to the US Commercial Brand team, leveraging a strong understanding of the market and customer needs to inform decisions related to launch and brand strategy, stakeholder communications and other initiatives. Key responsibilities include primary market research, competitive intelligence, demand forecasting, and business understanding of Key Performance Indicators to facilitate decision making and fuel performance.
At this time, we are only considering candidates who reside within a commutable distance to our Waltham, MA office, as this role requires a hybrid onsite presence.

The base salary pay range for this role is $133,000-$185,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.

Job Description
The Senior Manager, Commercial Insights is responsible for providing market and customer insights to help drive key strategic and tactical decisions across Sobi.

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, to build relationships cross-functionally, and to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Partner with franchise teams to guide market research efforts, including providing results associated with strategic implications to the key internal stakeholders
- Partner with franchise leaders and cross functional partners to understand trends, root cause, countermeasures, proactively identify needs and recommend solutions to address needs
- Be the single point of contact of Insights for the Franchise Leadership by understanding business performance and insight generation
- Act as Competitive Intelligence subject matter expert, demonstrating awareness and understanding of appropriate CI applications and key internal and external data/information sources
- Lead thinking and support for data and analytical requirements for key business projects
- Understand the forecasting model and the rationale behind current assumptions for both short term and long-term forecasts
- Communicate clearly and concisely complex analyses to all levels of the organization
- Deep dive analysis in secondary analytics as required to uncover and understand market and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and risks in a timely manner.
- Cultivate strong partnerships across a matrixed internal environment (e.g. US commercial, the Insight & Analytics Team and Global), including alignment and coordination of projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry in a commercial or consulting role
- Understanding of pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. IQVIA)
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional colleagues and leadership teams to drive results in a matrixed management operating environment.
- Excellent strategy, planning and execution skills with proven ability to prioritize work to drive results
- Highly developed commercial and business acumen; an ability to recognize growth and profitability opportunities and capitalize on them
- Ability to understand, analyze and assimilate complex issues, draw correct conclusions and formulate clear strategy and policies
- Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving
- Ability to interact effectively with, and present verbally and in writing to, all levels of the organization
- Experience with Tableau is preferred
- Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and standing out as a successful collaborator
