The Opportunity
Our firm's Media & Entertainment (M&E) practice is experiencing significant growth in the US and looking to grow its team. We are seeking individuals at the Director and Senior Director levels to join our team to drive business development activities as well as deliver large, complex and transformational client engagements with a particular focus on advertising, marketing analytics and AI. Job Title: Director / Senior Director, Business Development and Delivery - Media & Entertainment Practice
This role will focus on expanding our footprint in M&E, specifically in the agencies, ad tech, mar tech, data, analytics/AI and advertising sectors by building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering solutions that align with our clients' evolving needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and consulting within the M&E industry, coupled with an extensive network of industry relationships.
The salary range for Director is $150,000-$225,000 annually and Senior Director is $175,000-$250,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

Job Title: Director / Senior Director, Business Development and Delivery - Media & Entertainment Practice
This role will focus on expanding our footprint in M&E, specifically in the agencies, ad tech, mar tech, data, analytics/AI and advertising sectors by building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering solutions that align with our clients' evolving needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and consulting within the M&E industry, coupled with an extensive network of industry relationships.
- Lead business development efforts for the M&E practice by identifying and pursuing new client relationships and market opportunities
- Strong network and established relationships within the agency, ad tech, and advertising sectors including contacts at senior levels, with deep experience in data, analytics and AI
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the M&E industry, leveraging these connections to support new business opportunities
- In-depth understanding of the Media & Entertainment landscape and data specifically for the agencies, ad tech, mar tech and advertising verticals, including trends, challenges, and key players
- Demonstrable expertise and experience in using data and analytics to solve for clients business problems for M&E clients
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for business development that align with practice goals
- Drive the end-to-end business development process, from identifying leads to closing deals and ensuring seamless transitions to the client delivery teams
- Proven track record in business development or sales roles within a consulting or advisory firm aligned specifically to the advertising, agencies, ad tech and mar tech verticals of Media & Entertainment
- Expertise in Media & Entertainment with a focus on advertising, agencies, ad tech and mar tech, other M&E areas are a plus
- Effectively leads teams on complex projects by: setting clear direction, establishing clear expectations, ensuring quality of client / project team deliverable development
- Views client problems from the perspective of the C-Suite and clients POV and provides solutions to achieve results
- Manages project budget, billings and collections
- Surfaces expansion opportunities at existing clients; assists in closing new business leveraging business/personal relationships; contributes $5 million in collections per year by originating new opportunities using their network (net new or existing clients), and/or generating work from project expansion efforts within existing client including referring work to others across the firm
- Leads proposal efforts from opportunity identification through sales and even delivery
- Actively works to mentor a diverse set of employees
- Actively promotes a positive and inclusive team environment
- 10+ years of relevant industry and consulting experience at a major consulting firm
- Expansive senior-level relationships across the media and entertainment industry
- Proven track record of building, developing and cultivating client opportunities with a minimum of 5 years of consistent sales at or above the position's target sales levels
- Ideally have worked in both consulting and been an operator
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- Ability to address strategic issues and act tactically understanding cross functional requirements
- Understands advertising analytics and ad tech, have worked in the vertical and can clearly define needs and opportunities in the space
- You must be comfortable in a large organization but possess a start-up mentality
- You are a self-starter and naturally lead Outcome oriented
- Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of AI tools
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal/team skills, high E.Q.
- Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint and daily use of AI tools
- Comfortable with travel
- Ideally based in New York or Los Angeles
