Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Manager with HVAC experience to lead and oversee the mechanical aspects of retrofitting an existing factory into a state-of-the-art battery manufacturing plant for a high-profile client. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of the project within the specified timeline and budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Oversee all mechanical engineering aspects of the project, including HVAC systems design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Lead the mechanical engineering efforts specifically related to battery retrofit projects.
  • Ensure integration of battery systems with existing factory infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions for retrofitting existing facilities to accommodate battery manufacturing processes.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality and complies with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and the client on project status, milestones, and any issues.
  • Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiation and change orders.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site to protect workers and equipment.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical project management, with a focus on HVAC systems and large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience with battery retrofit projects, including integration and innovative solutions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical engineering principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Must be fluent in Korean.


Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $140K-$160K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
