Overview


As aMedia Director, you will be a leader within the Consumer Communications (C2) Group. Core responsibilities of the job involve applying critical and creative thinking beyond the scope of media solutions including translating expectations into deliverables and communicating those deliverables across departments. Directors on the team are required to have a strong comprehension of media strategy and ability to champion those solutions to completion through verbal and written communications communications that succeed across levels of management at Saatchi and with the client.

An ideal candidate will be anestablished innovatorwith the knowledge and skills to translate a vision for the team into best-in-class media solutions.Looking for8-10 years of experiencein media planning -with a specific focus on Linear and Digital Video strategy a requirement.In addition to being experienced in in Linear television, this person will have experience across the broad spectrum of the digital video landscape, with a history of success using digital video to support a range of media objectives.This person understands the importance of both the Art and Science of strategic media planning.


Responsibilities


  • Organizational skills to manage and prioritize team daily work flow
  • Develop media strategy based upon client objectives
  • Possess a working comprehension of clients business objectives
  • Manage the development, writing, presenting and execute media recommendations and POVs
  • Lead a discussion or negotiation with key business partners (publishers, technology companies, etc.), clients and internal stakeholders
  • Idea generation and Collaboration
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships internally (cross departments) and externally (clients, media vendors)
  • Proactively address process and communications issues and impediments
  • Coaching, guidance, inspirational leadership and performance management of all direct reports
  • Support and inspire the work and the people
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • College degree and a minimum 8-10 years of solid media planning experience and at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and creatively to develop strategic advertising and media solutions
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and analysis in business writing
  • Strong knowledge of both traditional and digital media landscape
  • Knowledge of key media research tools
  • Ability to prioritize large volume of own work as well as manage team deliverables and providing feedback in a timely fashion
  • Resourcefulness, proactively problem-solve to get the job done
  • Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal / professional relationship with vendors, clients, etc.
  • Professional demeanor, respectable agency representative
  • Believe in leading by example, finding solutions and striving for excellence
  • Ability to use good judgment when making business decisions and performing tasks
  • Automotive media experience is desirable

Compensation Range: $132,000 - $140,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
