Burlingame Family Pet Hospital is thrilled to expand our leadership team with the addition of a Hospital Administrator! We're looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to oversee all aspects of hospital operations, support our mission of compassionate care, and cultivate a thriving, collaborative environment for our team.

As the Hospital Administrator, you will be responsible for strategic planning, high-level business operations, and driving hospital performance alongside our Medical Director. You will work closely with the Hospital Manager, providing support and guidance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and long-term success.

In this role, you will provide leadership and guidance across all departments, ensuring alignment between clinical and operational goals. You will develop and implement operational strategies to support both short- and long-term objectives, while overseeing hospital financial performance-including forecasting, budgeting, revenue growth, and expense control. By monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), you will identify and address areas of opportunity to enhance efficiency and profitability. Your leadership will also support recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top talent, while fostering a culture of accountability, positivity, and collaboration. In partnership with the Medical Director, you'll ensure compliance with all relevant veterinary regulations and corporate policies, while actively identifying opportunities for hospital growth, community outreach, and marketing initiatives.

This is a full-time, salaried position with flexible availibility needed to meet the evolving needs of the practice.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:
  • Compensation: $85-95k annually*
  • Bonus package: $2000 for those with current RVT licensure in the state of California
  • CE allowance: $500 the first year, $1,000 annually thereafter for those with current RVT or CVPM licensure in the state of California

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
  • 5+ years of veterinary or healthcare management experience
  • Proven track record of managing high-performing teams and developing leaders
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, payroll, and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident decision-maker with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Experience with AviMark or other veterinary practice management systems
  • CVPM, MBA, or relevant certification/degree strongly preferred
