About the Role

The Senior Accountant will manage the company's financial reporting requirements, playing a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting data-driven decision making across the organization. This position will play a critical role in ensuring our financial health while partnering with cross-functional teams to support business goals.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and account summaries
  • Maintain and reconcile company assets and liabilities
  • Perform account reconciliations and financial transaction analysis
  • Prepare subledger reconciliations
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile inventory accounts
  • Monitor and provide reporting on cumulative reserve balances
  • Review company expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Prepare and file sales tax reports in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support external audit processes and provide required documentation
  • Assist in the development and preparation of budgets
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to support payroll processing
  • Document and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and business processes
  • Foster strong interdepartmental relationships through positive, professional communication

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in general accounting and financial reporting
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with AS400 is a plus
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)


Location

  • Hybrid at our Hauppauge, NY office (Long Island) and home office
  • Our office schedule is remote Monday & Friday, and in office Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday
