COMSEC Engineer

Description:
The COMSEC Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the security of communications equipment and ensuring the integrity of sensitive information. This role involves both administrative and engineering tasks, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Taclanes and other COMSEC equipment. Responsibilities include:
- Pull and review audit logs monthly to ensure compliance and security.
- Rekey and verify configuration for OCONUS backup/spare Taclanes.
- Update software on Taclanes across the enterprise remotely.
- Conduct bi-monthly inventory on COMSEC equipment.
- Configure replacement Taclanes and arrange shipping.
- Manage daily operation reports and tickets, including occasional tickets for Taclanes fixes.
- Update Taclanes keys monthly.
- Pull and track auto logs and generate daily reports on logs.
- Monitor network stability and performance, perform triage and troubleshooting on network issues.
- Signal and monitor COMSEC equipment for health and performance.
- Remotely walk Helpdesk personnel through fixing Taclanes.

Required Skills & Experience
- Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret highly preferred)
- Ability obtain DEA Suitability
- 5+ years of COMSEC Administration & Engineering experience
- Extensive TACLANE knowledge & experience configuring, troubleshooting, and updating software
- Experience rekeying and updating TACLANES
- Experience troubleshooting/problem resolutions on Wide Area Network (WAN) issues
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Linux administration experience
