Develop, implement and realize the sales/service and/or business plan and develop, structure and manager the assigned area/unit within the overall business strategy, in order to realize commercial and business objectives

Education and/or Experience: Bachelors Degree in related field or a combination of school and industry related work experience.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic understanding and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software; and the ability to learn and use Baan inventory and order processing system software.
After hours Requirements: After standard work hours may be necessary to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. It is usually voluntary but occasionally may be mandatory.
Supervisory Responsibilites: Directly supervises employees in the Service Center. This includes shop technicians, field technicians or both. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with EnerSys policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Travel Required: Occasional overnight travel may be necessary for training opportunities, company meetings, customer service calls, and other circumstances as dictated by management.

Job Purpose

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Attaining sales and signed contract quotes as assigned by the General Manager
- Oversee and manage direct reports within the area.
- Maintain good relations with customer and key dealer managers and salesman| this position entails visits to customer sites and service centers.
- Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area
- Attain assigned district sales and targets and service profit targets by effectively managing personnel and resources in the district
- Complete quarterly sales reports; make joint calls with sales, and management to promote at Dealers and end users in the District
- Develop plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees; Review and analyze all management reports including full Profit and Loss responsibility, Pricing control in the District and strategize with salesmen on large deals and keep a pricing file; take corrective action as necessary
- Maintaining and grow existing accounts by ensuring high level of customer service and negotiating favorable pricing and contract terms
- Exercising discretion and independent judgement when dealing with critical matters within the organization
- Track weekly and monthly Business Development performance through performance metrics
- Develop and train all direct reports- complete performance reviews, set goals and follow all other company policies and procedures
- Travel could be up to 75%
- Performs other duties as assigned

- This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
- This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
