Job Summary:

As a Program Manager III, you will be responsible for the performance for multiple production programs. Customer-facing, you will have great business acumen, making judicious decisions to achieve customer satisfaction while successfully executing your programs on time, on schedule, and on budget. In this role you will lead highly diverse cross functional teams composed of contracts, program planning, finance, operations, and engineering, to produce next-generation products. You will be a part of a world-class team in our Signal Technologies Business Unit, a leading provider of custom solutions in high-performance RF, microwave, and millimeter wave products in support of critical defense and aerospace applications.

Job Responsibility:
  • Develop plans for the execution of customer and internal programs, including schedules and estimates.
  • Execute programs to scope, schedule, cost, and quality over their full lifecycle, by internal processes and contractual obligations, for customers worldwide.
  • Identify and manage scope changes through their approval and execution.
  • Ensure on-time deliverables (documentation and products).
  • Perform risk and opportunities management, including definition and execution of action plans for risk mitigation to prevent adverse effects, and escalate issues promptly.
  • Provide details of resources required for successful execution of programs.
  • Respond to related request for proposals (RFPs), coordinate and develop proposals and related documentation, including schedules, estimates, compliance matrices, programmatic volume, and bid review material.
  • Create statements of work (SOW) and perform sub-contract management.
  • Present programs status to the leadership team, weekly and monthly, including reporting on programs' KPIs and critical path.
  • Point of contact for customers, develop and execute action plans for customers and organization satisfaction, including problem solving, obsolescence management, and in-service support.
  • Team with Operations, Engineering, and Business Development to ensure that all are informed and involved in decisions affecting their areas.
  • Manage all customer expectations and communicates professionally.

Required Qualification:
  • Typically requires Bachelors degree in a relevant field with 4+ years of relevant Program/Project Management/IPT Lead experience with a focus on production of aerospace, defense, or space hardware.
  • Experience Development and/or Production Program Management.
  • Experience with Government contracting practices and standard program and financial reporting (EAC) metrics.
  • Experience prior external customer support/interface.
  • This position requires you to have, or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.


Preferred Qualification:
  • Advanced Degree or MBA.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Program Management certification (PMP).
  • Experienced with documentation and collaboration tools, such as Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Experienced managing subcontractors and suppliers in a production environment.
  • Experience managing Programs in a matrix organization.
  • Experience with Military and Commercial Programs.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and Export Regulations.
  • Excellent presentation skills.

Full-Time Equivalent Annual Salary Range: $82,000 - $164,000 for a Individual Contributor III at Oxnard CA USA.

The disclosed salary range is a general guideline for Mercury team members employed at the job level at the location listed above and does not include overtime for eligible hourly employees.
