AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking a System Engineer, User Requirements, Level 3 (SE3)

In this position, you will support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. You will analyze user needs, guide requirement formulation, and help ensure that system designs meet operational and technical objectives.

Mission: As a System Engineer on this government program, you will provide end-to-end systems engineering expertise, from architecture development and design analysis to integration planning and technical documentation.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience
  • Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and system architectures to develop detailed system requirement specifications
  • Lead system design and development activities, ensuring alignment with user needs and operational goals
  • Advise users on alternative solutions, conduct feasibility studies, and guide requirement formulation
  • Provide technical leadership in integrating design, requirements, and emerging technologies
  • Develop system architecture and design documentation, system engineering management plans, and integration/test plans
  • Incorporate new systems and designs into ongoing operations while maintaining system integrity
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for system engineering-related issues with government and program stakeholders
  • Ensure the technical quality and integrity of deliverables within your area of responsibility
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, government clients, and senior leadership


Preferred Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a technical environment
  • Experience supporting user-focused engineering solutions and systems integration
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical teams, end users, and senior stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of systems lifecycle processes, documentation development, and technical leadership
  • Ability to adapt evolving system requirements into operational capabilities


Education and Required Qualification
  • PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience

OR
  • Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience

OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience

OR
  • High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general systems engineering experience


Travel
  • Less than 10% of travel may occur.
