We have an exciting new opportunity for a seasoned attorney in the Atlanta area with insurance litigation experience. As the Managing attorney for the office, you will be a key decision maker, make recommendations as to strategy, and make a meaningful impact in the community. Position Summary:

Seeking an experienced Managing Attorney to lead and oversee a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience handling insurance litigation matters and will be responsible for providing legal expertise, managing client relationships, and driving case strategy. This position requires a strong leader with excellent organizational and communication skills who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, ensuring productivity, professional development, and high-quality service to clients.
  • Case Oversight: Manage complex insurance claims from inception to resolution, including litigation and settlement negotiations.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain and develop relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and providing high-level legal advice and strategy.
  • Legal Strategy & Guidance: Provide strategic direction on case management, legal strategies, and decisions to ensure successful outcomes for clients.
  • Mentorship & Training: Mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff, providing guidance on legal matters and developing their skills in the area of first-party property insurance claims.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, including partners and support staff, to ensure cohesive teamwork and alignment of firm goals and strategies.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations, and manage risk associated with cases and firm operations.
  • Billing & Budgeting: Oversee the budgeting and billing of legal services, ensuring that the firm's financial targets are met while maintaining cost-effective legal solutions for clients.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience handling insurance litigation including significant experience in claims management, and settlements.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively, with a strong focus on team development and performance.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to manage complex legal cases and provide practical solutions.
  • Collaboration: A collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
  • Technology: Proficiency in legal software, Microsoft Office Suite, and case management systems.
