THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The OMS Engineer plays a critical role in developing and designing Ulta's OMNI Fulfillment ecosystem aimed at enhancing the experience of both Ulta Beauty guests and associates. Within a dynamic team comprising engineers of varied expertise, you'll collaborate to foster technical proficiencies while collectively creating, deploying, and supporting production applications. Additionally, IT Engineers may engage in tasks spanning performance tuning, and ongoing production monitoring.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
  • Executes and Delivers (80%): Collaborates and engages with fellow product team members (engineers, product owner, scrum master) to develop reliable, scalable and secure software solutions; Documents, reviews, and ensures compliance with all quality and change control standards; Collaborates with the Product Team to create developer-ready, comprehensible, and testable user stories; Develop microservices using Spring Boot and integrate with a database; Write custom code or scripts for destructive testing to ensure robust resilience in production; Designs meaningful dashboards, logging, alerting, and monitoring of issues for visibility and proactive resolution.
  • Plans and Coordinates (10%): Engages with fellow team members in agile processes; Collaborates with the Product Team to craft user stories that are valuable, developer-ready, easily comprehensible, and testable; Communicates effectively through various modes, ensuring a clear understanding tailored to different audiences' unique needs; Adjusts approach dynamically to address the changing requirements of varied situations.; Cultivates open and comfortable relationships with a variety of people from cross-functional groups.
  • Acquires Skills and Evolves (10%): Proactively seeks avenues for personal growth and acquires pertinent skills through both formal and informal developmental pathways.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting and fixes for production issues.
  • Participate in outage calls and performs root cause analysis of the problems.
  • Provides holiday readiness testing support.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, framework such as Spring Boot
  • Experience with cloud platform such as GCP
  • Experience with front end technology such as HTML, CSS, TypeScript and Angular frameworks, Relational or NoSQL database technology, cloud computing techniques, CI/CD tools, modern software design patterns.
  • Experience with creating and executing unit, functional, destructive and performance tests.
  • Experience with contemporary debugging tools, methods, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with version control system.
  • Experience with security frameworks for user and services authorization and authentication

The pay range for this position is $88,200.00 - $150,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
