Technology Specialist III (Network Engineer) - Digital and Technology Partners - Onsite/Hybrid

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our dynamic team on-site three days / two days a week remotely at Mount Sinai Health System. The candidate should be a Network Subject Matter Expert, who will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and support of our Enterprise Campus and Cloud Environment, ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our environment.

Responsibilities

  • Working knowledge in switch and routing protocols, Extensible LAN (VXLAN), Multicast, BGP, EIGRP, Spanning Tree, etc.
  • Hardware knowledge of Catalyst and Nexus Platforms, Fabric Extenders and WLC CAT-9800
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Architecture with a focus on networking including Azure Express Route, AWS Direct Connection and OCI FastConnect
  • Working knowledge of firewalls include Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto
  • Ability to design, implement, support, and maintain Enterprise Campus, Data Center and Cloud Networks
  • Be able to create professional documents and diagrams
  • Aid in the resolution of escalated issues and actively participate in problem management activities.
  • Cross-train other IT staff members in the maintenance and usage of wireless technology.
  • Research new technologies and processes to improve the environment.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; Masters degree preferred .
  • Technical expertise in SQL, HTML, JavaScript, etc. at an expert level.
  • 8 years minimum experience (higher preferred), 12 years of related experience, including a demonstrated ability in technology area. In-depth knowledge of associated technology areas that could impact area of responsibility; healthcare technology experience preferred.
  • Preferred Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification in networking.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as an Enterprise Network Engineer strongly preferred.
  • Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting Enterprise and Cloud networks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex network issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $108,664.98 - $202,155.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
