Overview:
This position is responsible to drive brand growth by developing innovative strategies and go-to-market plans for both new launches and cores businesses with executional excellence for the hair color category. In addition, their primary responsibility includes owning and uncovering deep consumer insights to initiate breakthrough communications and data-driven marketing. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to performing business & competitive analyses, media planning and spend review, marketing budget/financial control, and preparing presentations for top management meetings. This position is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to help accelerate growth for this innovative and loved brand.
Job Responsibilities:
New Product Launches:
Ownership and responsibility for supervising entire go to market process across multiple launches- shopper, social, media, education, ecommerce, etc.
Participate in selling projects to management at large
Generate long term strategic development, including panier influencing and decision making through in depth category, consumer and market expertise
Collaborate with Creative to create consumer-centric launch materials, including merchandising and sampling
Strategy & Planning:
Drive the research, analysis, category trends and insights to develop long term strategy
Oversee and guide plans development and create vision for businesses
Contribute to total category strategy / plans
Responsible for influencing commercial strategy and planning with BAL counterparts to ensure the teams' national vision comes to life
Financial P&L and Forecasting:
Ownership of entire process
Understand and manage financial implication of forecast (i.e.) E10 and Full year number
Own accuracy of all budgets and roll up of total category with finance
Manage budget allocation between spending buckets and brands with peers
Promotions/Advertising / Media:
Work intimately with agency partners to create and execute breakthrough consumer communications in all touchpoints, from traditional media to digital data driven activations
Influence media recommendation and direction
Work intimately with creative agency, Brand Engagement and brand spokes to drive best-in-class go-to-market plans
Team and Meeting Management:
Ensure team development and positive morale
Foster collaboration within the team and with our core partners (cross-Garnier, DMI, commercial, finance, etc.)
Recruit and retain high-performing employees
Lead, develop, and influence team structure
Effectively manage, upskill, and develop 1 direct report
Recommend organizational structure changes and enhancements
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience:
BA degree required.
8-10 years of Industry related marketing work experience (consumer package goods or beauty)
Experience working collaboratively with R&D on a new product or renovation
Experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation through its entire life cycle
Prior experience in Operational Marketing

Brand Administration: create project plan according to panier portfolio gaps; in-depth knowledge of brand equity and management
Market Research: ability to read and interpret research data

Additional Benefits Information As Follows:
Salary Range: $138,500 - $200,800 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
