AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking a Systems Engineer, Requirements Analysis, Level 2 (SE2) to support complex engineering efforts across the full systems lifecycle.

In this position, you will support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The ideal candidate will possess foundational systems engineering experience and be prepared to contribute to the technical quality, integrity, and success of critical deliverables in accordance with ISO/IEC 15288 standards.

Mission: As a System Engineer on this government program, you will apply systems engineering principles to develop, manage, and maintain technical solutions in alignment with stakeholder requirements and mission needs.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline
  • Apply systems engineering principles throughout the entire system life cycle: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement
  • Support the development of system requirements, architecture, design, integration, and validation
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, program personnel, and senior leadership on technical considerations and issues
  • Ensure deliverables meet technical standards of quality, completeness, and compliance
  • Contribute to one or more of the 25 ISO/IEC 15288 process areas, including:
  • Technical Process Areas: Requirements Definition, Architecture Design, Verification, Integration, and more
  • Project Process Areas: Project Planning, Risk Management, Configuration Management, etc.
  • Enterprise Process Areas: Lifecycle Management, Human Resource Management, Quality Management
  • Agreement Process Areas: Acquisition and Supply


Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle models and frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interaction
  • Basic knowledge of ISO/IEC 15288 and systems engineering best practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams


Education and Required Qualification
  • PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline

OR
  • Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline

OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus two (2) years of systems engineering experience

OR
  • High School Diploma or GED plus six (6) years of general systems engineering experience


Travel
  • Less than 10% of travel may occur.
