Job Description
This role will manage all aspects of the procurement deliverables in support of the overall program timeline and requirements. The Sourcing Specialist will work cross-functionally to develop procurement program timelines and milestones in alignment with overall program phases and budgets. Responsibilities include developing risk assessments and mitigation plans, leading category assessments, and driving cost reduction initiatives and supply base optimizations.

The position is onsite. The work environment includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, utilization of purchasing systems, supplier contracts and quality systems, and ensuring alignment with corporate and divisional requirements. The role involves extensive interaction with engineering, quality systems data teams, and key suppliers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.

Job Description

The Sourcing Specialist will work cross-functionally to develop procurement program timelines and milestones in alignment with overall program phases and budgets. Responsibilities include developing risk assessments and mitigation plans, leading category assessments, and driving cost reduction initiatives and supply base optimizations.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in development and execution of all aspects of the Project plan for Sourcing/Supply Chain Workstream for product transfers.
- Define scope and key deliverables for the procurement product transfer project in alignment with the needs of the overall program.
- Communicate program status, milestones, and risks to executive level and cross-divisional teams.
- Influence senior leadership across divisions to champion program needs for the Procurement workstream.
- Ensure cost standards are established in alignment with annual operating budgets and Program financial models.
- Develop supply strategy based on spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, sourcing selection, financial and make/buy analyses.
- Develop strong relationships with other disciplines within the businesses.
- Lead alignment of all Sourcing, Planning and Purchasing projects to ensure Procurement workstream success.
- Analyze overall program Validation and Launch activities to develop procurement plans across multiple categories.
- Develop and maintain procurement plans that secure material availability to support Engineering builds through Production launch.
- Evaluate Approved Supplier Lists across Business Units to ensure appropriate risk levels are assigned to each supplier.
- Develop and deliver key supply chain product transfer project milestones on-time in alignment with the needs of the overall program.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product transfer technical team members to evaluate bill of materials accuracy for each project phase.
- Assess appropriate supplier risk level for bill of materials supply base.
- Review and maintain quality system purchasing data to ensure accuracy.
- Develop and maintain a communication plan for cross-functional stakeholders.
