U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer - Application Support (Multiple openings) in Irving, TX.
Essential Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for providing application support and site reliability engineering for U.S. Bank's digital products for online and mobile banking. Specific job duties include the following:
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) software development and application support experience.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Configuring, managing, and deploying Middleware Stack of Application servers including IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, and Tomcat. 2) Creating and managing infrastructure with AWS services including EC2, EKS, ECS, S3, EBS, Route53, SQS, SNS using DevOps tools including Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible. 3) Installing, configuring, and managing Web Server stack including IBM HTTP Servers, Apache, and NGINX. 4) Web Server content deployment using HP Open deploy receiver and creating redirect rules, SSL certificates, and Plugin creation. 5) Automating new processes using Python and Shell scripting and scheduling jobs using Even schedulers including Cron jobs, Autosys, and Cloud Events in AWS. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.

- Provide subject matter expertise in the digital application stack and overall infrastructure for online and mobile banking products.
- Ensure overall reliability for applications deployed in On-Prem and Cloud infrastructure.
- Use AppDynamics and Splunk to monitor applications and ensure overall health.
- Create alerts for resiliency issues and create Splunk dashboards for visualizing transaction level metrics.
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate the triage and mitigation of any issues.
- Identify application performance issues through monitoring tools including Firebug, Fiddler, Httpwatch, App Dynamics, and Dynatrace.
