Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, geology, or a related field, and possess the ability to perform field monitoring, sampling of environmental materials, and environmental site assessments. This role includes assisting in the planning, management, and execution of various environmental projects, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

We are a 100 percent employee-owned consulting engineering firm providing quality services to clients. Since 1965, we have evolved into a successful multi-discipline firm specializing in environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials services. We currently have more than 7,000 employees in more than 180 offices with services available in all 50 states. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/hr.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, geology, or a related field, and possess the ability to perform field monitoring, sampling of environmental materials, and environmental site assessments. This role includes assisting in the planning, management, and execution of various environmental projects, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate field monitoring and sampling equipment for environmental materials including air, groundwater, building materials, and noise.
- Assist with the planning, project management, and execution of asbestos, mold, and other IH/IAQ surveys and abatement/remediation projects.
- Assist with the planning, project management, and execution of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM Standard E1527-21, Phase II/Limited Site Investigations, and other soil/groundwater investigations.
- Tabulate, present, and interpret data; prepare written reports for senior -level review.
- Adhere to strict quality and safety standards.
- Experience with hazardous building materials inspections including asbestos, mold, and lead.
- Experience with soil, groundwater, and air sampling/testing.
- Experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- CT Asbestos Inspector certificate.
- BS/BA degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related science field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Asbestos Project Monitor Certificate.
- Asbestos Management Planner, Lead Risk Assessor, Mold Technician certifications.
