Job Description

Purpose:

The Associate Director, HCP marketing leads the development and execution of strategies related to personal and non-personal HCP promotion. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the Associate Director will be responsible for achieving key brand goals by balancing investments with brand profitability.

The Associate Director will work closely with multiple cross-functional partners teams to ensure development and alignment of the near- and long-term HCP strategy and execution. The Associate Director will have a critical role guiding a cross-functional group and foster positive working relationships with the sales force, medical, patient services, market access, public affairs, government affairs, health economics and outcomes research, MABI, sales training, and regulatory review. This individual will also be a key strategic partner to the sales force working closely with sales leaders and sales training partners to establish highly effective materials and communications. As a prominent member of the marketing team, this role provides the opportunity to work on a breakthrough launch brand in a growing business unit with significant exposure to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the brand strategy, development and execution of HCP initiatives through personal and non-personal promotion.
  • Lead brand positioning and message development for HCP facing initiatives, working across key groups of functional stakeholders to execute and enhance the HCP experience.
  • Deliver field force engagement activities with a strong collaboration with sales partners.
  • Collaborate and communicate with multiple agencies and vendors to plan for, prioritize, and execute brand tactics.
  • Partner with Payer Marketing to integrate access and reimbursement messaging across HCP-facing resources.
  • Partner with Patient Services to develop strategies, tactics and messaging relating to patient support and product procurement.
  • Collaborate with MABI to generate and evaluate key market research data to turn insights into actions that improve HCP attitudes, awareness, and adoption.
  • Develop compelling presentations to convey strategies to broad sets of stakeholder audiences, including senior executives, cross-functional leadership teams, and cross-functional partners for understanding and support of brand plans.
  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Proven marketing experience with increased proficiency in all marketing skills.
  • Previous cross franchise/cross channel marketing experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS required; advanced degree in related discipline (ex. MBA, etc) preferred
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience with a successful track record in pharmaceutical marketing or sales
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate ideas & make the complex easy for others to understand.
  • Executes highly effective working team meetings with internal and external partners and is visibly inclusive and transparent.
  • Works collaboratively and proactively, maintains high degree of planning, coordination & project management skills, demonstrated ability to problem solve & resolve conflict with diplomacy.
  • Strong analytical and strategic marketing skills
  • Previous experience in US HCP In-line Marketing preferred
  • Experience in strategic field based or non-personal services and reimbursement planning for products with success in competitive environments.
  • Scientific acumen & therapeutic understanding, with the ability to extract insights from the analysis of complex datasets.
  • Strong financial acumen with a good understanding of P&L drivers and the ability to develop appropriate investment & sales forecasts.
  • Deep understanding and experience of US market access environments
  • Experience with launch &/or on-market commercial teams an advantage.
  • Experience working within matrix-based teams and project management.
  • Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functional partners outside of immediate team.
