In a world where customers are increasingly relying on video to discover and research products to inform their next purchase, Amazon Live is working on inventing new ways to make the shopping experience on and off Amazon engaging and fun through shopping focused videos. We are looking for a creative hands-on product leader who will redefine how customers discover and use Live and VOD video on Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

This candidate sits within Amazon Live product leadership team, and owns the product strategy for Amazon Live onsite discovery and distribution, working with key teams across Amazon Retail, and internal Amazon Shopping Videos cross-functional teams such as science, content, marketing and sales.

The right candidate is a thought-leader who has experience defining a long-term product vision and strategy that inspires stakeholders and VP/SVP leadership, enjoys being customer obsessed, has technical know-how, and is comfortable with a high-level of ambiguity in a fast-moving startup environment. They will drive the roadmap of a 2-pizza engineering team with dedicated UX, and influence the roadmaps of adjacent engineering teams focusing on Core Video playback experience, creator tools, VOD selection, and business intelligence. You will move fast, delivering innovative customer video experiences that drive business impact, and help develop you as a senior product leader.

A day in the life

You will define the product strategy, drive alignment at the senior leadership level, and work closely with partners to bring it to life. You will be comfortable working on products with complex tradeoffs. You will deeply understand and socialize the evolving needs of our customers, with your content, marketing and design partners.

Amazon Shopping Videos (ASV) is an exciting, strategic program that harnesses the power of video to help millions of customers discover product inspiration, learn about items they're interested in, and engage with talented creators and communities. We empower customers to effortlessly find relevant content and explore our library of product-focused videos throughout their entire shopping journey on Amazon. We are a dynamic, startup-like initiative within Amazon, aiming to reinvent the way customers use video to shop. To achieve this bold vision, we are seeking motivated, thoughtful self-starters who can forge effective partnerships across our multi-disciplinary teams to drive continuous innovation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 4+ years of end to end product delivery experience

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- Experience managing technical products or online services

- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in one or more of the following spaces is preferred: (1) Social commerce (creator/content focused), (2) Ad Tech, (3) building consumer internet products in a high growth environment.

- Outstanding oral and written communication

- Strong product sense, past experience in strategy consulting, venture capital and/ or finance.

- MBA or equivalent experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
