We areseeking a Director, Government Relations todevelop and manage a comprehensive state and local government affairs campaignfor Honeywell and Advanced Materials.
Thisposition will be based in Washington, DC at Honeywell's Global GovernmentRelations headquarters and operate on a hybrid work schedule. This role willinclude frequent travel (up to 50%) within supporting region and other keyState Capitals, as needed.
The Directorof State and Local Government Relations Affairs will drive adoption oflegislation that support Honeywell's products.
Key Responsibilities:
InOctober 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materialsbusiness to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent ofHoneywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materialsbusiness, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.
Thisposition is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be namedSolstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expectedto occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multi-state legislative campaign
- Coordinate a cross-functional team spanning legal, commercial, communications, regulatory, R&D, product stewardship, and sales functions as well as outside public affairs consultants
- Represent the Company before various administrative, regulatory, legislative, and executive levels of state government, and in some instances, local jurisdictions.
- Identify, analyze, and report to the Company business, legislative and regulatory issues that could potentially impact the business and recommend and manage a course of action Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulators, elected officials, civil servants, and other key stakeholders
- Develop and collaborate on the production of high-quality written recommendations, briefings, publications, presentations, and other collateral that communicate complex messages clearly and effectively to audiences, with a focus on government stakeholders
- Coordinate strategy with consultants and trade association representatives to ensure active engagement on the areas of interest to Honeywell and that all are aligned in support of our business strategies
- Organize and drive communication with Honeywell senior leadership, including meetings, briefings, and campaign reviews
- Participate, serve, and assume leadership positions on industry-related associations, steering committees, and networking organizations to protect & promote the Company interests.

YOU MUST-HAVE:
- Bachelor's and/or Advanced degree, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Chemistry or Engineering preferred or applicable comparable experience
- 10+ years of State Government Relations experience
- Demonstrated familiarity with the energy and chemical regulatory policy landscape, including major legislative & regulatory trends and ability to grasp technical details quickly
- Experience operating in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment
