ROLE DESCRIPTION
You're a strategic, entrepreneurial leader ready to help shape the future of impact investing in Canada. You believe in mobilizing capital to address systemic inequities and social and environmental challenges. With deep experience in project management and stakeholder collaboration, you're ready to take ownership of high-impact initiatives designed to grow the impact investing sector, and deliver on the Government of Canada's vision for the Social Finance Fund.
As the Manager, Market Building, you will lead and oversee a portfolio of high-impact projects focused on building sustainable infrastructure for the social finance market in Canada. You'll drive three major projects: strengthening governance and education for foundations, engaging institutional investors to unlock private capital, and launching a pilot impact fund in the arts and culture sector.
You will report to the CEO of Rally Assets and work closely with internal and external collaborators across the country. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment that values systems thinking, bold leadership and practical delivery.
In our work as Realize Capital Partners, we're a fund-of-funds manager for the Government of Canada's Social Finance Fund, an innovative initiative to growth the social finance market and strengthen social purpose organizations. Note: This role is being offered as a fixed-term position of 12 months with the possibility of an extension for an additional six months, subject to the agreement of both parties, in line with specific market-building initiatives funded under the Social Finance Fund.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Strategic Project Leadership
Lead project planning and delivery for three major sector-building initiatives:
- A national Board Governance and Education program to build the capacity of philanthropic and community foundation boards to make impact-aligned investment decisions, including the development of tailored toolkits and a cohort-based learning program
- An Institutional Investor Engagement strategy focused on building relationships with Canada's largest pension funds and asset owners to catalyze their participation in social finance
- A Pilot Arts Fund to explore and launch a proof-of-concept investment fund supporting the arts and culture sector, with particular focus on under-served organizations and communities
Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key project partners and vendors, including managing multiple third-party consultants
- Represent Realize Capital Partners in national conversations
- Work with the Communications Team, in particular the Associate, Communications, to market programs and share lessons learned through white papers, webinars and/or other educational outputs
Program Operations and Knowledge Building
- Develop governance toolkits, engagement strategies and educational resources
- Build internal systems to track and codify insights and frameworks
- Ensure the projects contribute to long-term system-level change in Canada's impact investing market
QUALIFICATIONS
On your resume, we ask that you demonstrate the following:
- 5-7 years of experience leading cross-sector projects
- Strong project management skills
- Experience managing diverse stakeholders
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Equity-informed project design experience
- That you are legally able to work in Canada without restrictions
- Familiarity with foundations/investors/public-private partnerships is an asset
- Proficiency in both English and French is considered a strong asset
