JOB SUMMARY
Develops and manages supplier relationships along with other members of the supply chain team. Focuses on supplier interactions for new suppliers, existing suppliers, and supplier improvement initiatives. Spends portion of time in the field at supplier locations. Manages and leads sourcing efforts and initiatives. Drives supplier performance and quality through such actions. Manages and maintains supplier data including master spreadsheets and owns the processes associated.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions(Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

Leads a process driven approach to supplier interaction including creating overviews of new suppliers capabilities, performs business reviews with suppliers, and is called upon to help manage problematic suppliers.
Establishes, builds, and maintains relationships with all key suppliers; arrange supplier meetings with appropriate personnel to review and resolve any problems or issues as needed.
Creates RFP(Request for Proposal) documents and prepares them for supplier bids.
Aids in supplier selection and negotiation.
Owns supplier data files which track OTD, Quality, spend, actions taken/to be taken, etc. Also maintains supplier files which track supplier information regarding capacity, systems, leadership, etc.
Works with each facility to derive forecasts that can be used to determine supplier risk and capability to support BEI statements of work.
Spends 33%+ of their time visiting suppliers both domestic and foreign
Establishes and implements purchasing strategies, policies, procedures and measurements.
Ensures compliance to contract requirements and budgets as applicable
Coordinates with Quality Assurance to ensure that all suppliers are in good standing on the approved supplier list.
When in support of a facility the Supplier Performance Manager will aid in tracking material procurement status of all projects for progress, schedule and performance; prepares and communicate s information to all necessary personnel on pertinent issues and concerns regarding suppliers, raw materials, and finished goods.
Demonstrates utilization of continuous improvement process (metrics, root cause analysis) to drive positive performance trends for both external suppliers and internal direct reports.
Implements and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Maintains a safe, secure and legal work environment; adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintains and protects the confidentiality of the Company's information and products.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS - Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
A four-year college (Bachelor 's degree) is desired.
Experience:
A minimum of 7 years or more of direct experience.
Skills:
Problem solving/analysis, leadership, teamwork orientation, project management, communication proficiency, performance management, technical capacity.
Analytically driven and poses the ability to maintain, develop, and make decisions on data. Skilled excel users are preferred.
