Job Description:
Salary Range: $95,788.00 - $123,000.00 (Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience)
Join the Binghamton University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SOPPS) as a Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor / Experiential Education Coordinator. This full-time, 12-month non-tenure-track position offers a dynamic opportunity to coordinate experiential education for both IPPE and APPE placements across a wide variety of settings?including hospitals, community sites, and other pharmacy environments. You'll collaborate with valued partners and contribute to the School's educational mission, balancing a traditional faculty role with administrative responsibilities in the Office of Experiential Education (OEE).
As a Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor within the Department of Pharmacy Practice, you'll engage in service, research/scholarship, and teaching at the SOPPS. In your administrative role as Experiential Education Coordinator, you'll work alongside the Executive Director of Experiential Education to manage and implement experiential programs, ensuring they meet ACPE standards and build lasting partnerships with preceptors across the BU SOPPS preceptor network. The candidate will directly report to the Executive Director of Experiential Education and will perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Experiential Education.
The preferred candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work within a diverse team, dynamic environment, possess proven leadership capabilities, strong customer service skills, and the ability to build and maintain external relationships, with valued partners within a variety of pharmacy practice settings. The position requires business travel to current and prospective experiential sites across the region, including but not limited to downstate and upstate New York, PA, and NJ.

Key responsibilities include:
- Experiential Program Coordination
- Recruit, develop, and maintain experiential sites and preceptors.
- Deliver education and training for preceptors and practice sites.
- Implement the experiential programs.
- Manage placement assignments of learners and their learning experiences.
- Ensure the quality of learner experiences through site visits and evaluations.
- Teaching
- Provide didactic teaching.
- Co-coordinate experiential courses.
- Service and Scholarship
- Advise pharmacy students on their educational and professional development.
- Contribute to school and university service through committee work and other initiatives.
- Collect and assess information related to quality assurance and improvement of the experiential program.
- Engage in scholarship and research activities.
Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or other pharmacy advanced degree
- Pharmacist licensure or be eligible for licensure in the state of New York
- Experience precepting pharmacy learners
Preferred:
- Experience working with or within an institutional/hospital setting
- Experience working in academia
- Experience working with experiential program administration
- Completion of post-graduate training (e.g. pharmacy residency)
